MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the Department of Public Works and Highways will conduct road works around Metro Manila this weekend.
It advised motorists to prepare for possible traffic slowdown along the affected roads between 11 p.m. on Friday, March 8, and 5 a.m. on Monday, March 11.
The MMDA said the road repairs will be carried out on the following:
- Pedro Gil Street corner Taft Avenue (2nd lane), Manila City
- Edsa southbound from J.P. Rizal Avenue to Orense (3rd lane from the sidewalk), in Makati City
- Edsa northbound, from Don Vicente Ang Street to Gen. Mascardo Street (5th lane from the sidewalk), in Caloocan City
- Along Main Avenue eastbound beside Shell Gasoline Station (1st lane), Quezon City
- Along Main Avenue, across SM Supermarket (1st lane), in Quezon City
- Along Main Avenue, across Briella Salon (1st lane), in Quezon City
- Along Main Avenue, near Minabel Building (1st lane), in Quezon City

The MMDA advised motorists to take alternative routes while the roadworks are ongoing.
