Cebu Movers escape Ronel Blacks

NANTE BORCES of the Cebu Movers made the game winning free throws to beat Ronel Blacks,107-105, in the finals of the Los Amigos Basketball Association last Sunday at the Banilad gym.

The team’s manager Raul Monteroyo started the comeback as nailed a crucial three-point shot in the dying seconds of the fourth to tie the game at 105.

Borces and Monteroyo both scored 27 points for the winning team. Boy Rizane had a game-high 32 points for the Ronel Blacks.

Meanwhile, J and K School Supplies of Irene Amodia outsmarted RN2 of Renato Casinillo, 61-41, in the ongoing Buaya Junior Basketball Association (BJBA)-Rollway Cup held at the Barangay Buaya gymnasium in Lapu-Lapu City last Tuesday.

Erwin Lambo scored 18 to spearhead J and K cagers.
