Village councilor stabbed dead in Legazpi City

LEGAZPI CITY – A bank manager was injured after he was stabbed by a former broadcaster in this city on Saturday night (Nov. 19), a report said Sunday (Nov. 20). Lieutenant Kharren Formales, Albay police spokesperson, said in a report that while having a drinking spree, Jaime Aplacador, 47, was stabbed by Lamberto Doronela, 57, using a scissor inside a bar in Barangay (village) 16-Washington at around 7:20 p.m. Aplacador had injuries on the left back portion of his neck and was brought to a hospital. Formales said the suspect was immediately held by the owner and other customers. LEGAZPI CITY — A village official died Wednesday after being stabbed inside his residence in this city.

Noel Vargas, 66, councilor of Barangay Sabang, was repeatedly stabbed at 5:15 p.m. inside his house, by a suspect who was unidentified in the report, the initial police investigation said.

The suspect used a bladed weapon, the police reported.

Vargas was taken to a hospital but died while being treated.

The suspect was arrested after the incident while the investigation was ongoing.
