Fire razes 6 classrooms in Batangas town

LUCENA CITY — The Batangas Eastern Colleges in San Juan town in Batangas province was hit by a fire on Sunday night, March 3, police said.

In a report on Monday, the Police Region 4A, said the fire, which started at 7:41 p.m. and lasted for 41 minutes, gutted six classrooms of the private school located in Barangay Lipahan.

No casualties or serious injuries were reported during the fire as there were no classes.

Authorities pegged the damage from the fire at P100,000.

Firemen were still investigating the incident to determine the cause of the blaze.
