MANILA, Philippines — Agents of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) have arrested 13 Vietnamese nationals for illegally operating health spas and clinics in the cities of Makati, Parañaque, and Pasay.

Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said in a statement that the Vietnamese were unable to present documentation during the arrest, making them undocumented aliens.

One of the subjects was found to have a working visa but was caught working in a company other than the company that petitioned his visa, violating the conditions of his stay.

Tansingco urged local governments, barangays, and community members to report illegal aliens in their areas. He said the 13 Vietnamese will remain in the BI’s Bicutan, Taguig facility until their cases are resolved.
