LUCENA CITY – Six suspected drug traffickers were arrested on Saturday (March 2) in buy-bust operations in Laguna, Cavite and Rizal.
The operations yielded more than P1.3 million worth of shabu (crystal meth), police said.
Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) reported anti-narcotics operatives in Calamba city, Laguna arrested “Kharima” and “Normalah” at 11:18 p.m.
Both persons are classified as high-value individuals or ‘HVI’ in the illegal drug trade
They allegedly sold meth to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Paciano.
Seized from the suspects were shabu weighing a total of 113 grams worth over P768,000.
In General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite, police officers arrested “Orlando” and “Sol” at 9:50 p.m. in a sting operation in Barangay Gregoria De Jesus.
The suspects were found in possession of 45 grams of shabu worth P306,000 and a digital weighing scale.
Orlando was tagged as an HVI while Sol was identified as a street-level drug pusher.
Meanwhile, law enforcers in San Mateo, Rizal collared “Andrew” and “Jessa” in Barangay Ampid 1 at around 7:43 p.m.
The suspects, both HVI, were found with 10 plastic sachets containing shabu weighing a total of 40 grams worth over P276,000.
All suspects are under police custody and are facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Last month, policemen in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region nabbed 1,081 suspected drug pushers.
They also seized over P20 million worth of shabu and marijuana, PRO-4A reported on Saturday.
