MANILA, Philippines — No weather disturbance or low-pressure area will likely enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) or form within the country’s boundary this week.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported this finding is based on their latest monthly data and forecast.

“Walang mino-monitor na sama ng panahon sa PAR. For this week ay wala tayong inaasahan na papasok o mabubuo na bagyo,” weather specialist Obet Badrina said in a morning  forecast.

(We are not monitoring any weather disturbance within PAR. For this week, we are not expecting any tropical cyclones to enter or form within the area.)

“Ngayong buwan ng Marso, hanggang isang bagyo ang maaring mabuo o pumasok sa par base sa pinakahuling datos,” he added.

(This March, our latest data showed one tropical cyclone may form or enter PAR.)

For the rest of the day, Badrina said northeast monsoon or amihan will affect Northern Luzon areas, while easterlies will prevail over the rest of the country.

He noted chances of rain showers and thunderstorms are expected nationwide due to the two weather systems, but the weather will be generally fair for the next 24 hours.
