MANILA, Philippines — Speaker Martin Romualdez promised congressional support for the development of Puerto Princesa City and Palawan province.

“In my capacity as your legislative district caretaker and as Speaker of the House, I pledge to marshal all necessary resources to support our key development priorities,” he said.

Romualdez was in Puerto Princesa City for the distribution of aid to fire victims.

“This commitment extends beyond mere words; it is a promise already set into motion. The support from Congress for Puerto Princesa and Palawan will remain steadfast and unyielding,” he added.

According to Romualdez, some of this support will be directed toward tourist spots in Palawan, such as Pag-asa Island.
