Drug suspect, 3 companions nabbed; P241,000 shabu seized in Pampanga
MABALACAT CITY — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a suspected drug peddler and his three companions in a sting operation that also yielded some P241,500 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Dau village here on Wednesday, February 28.
In a statement, the PDEA Central Luzon identified the alleged drug peddler as Edsel Carlos, 51, who is in the agency’s regional target list of suspected drug personalities.

In the buy-bust conducted around 6:50 p.m., PDEA agents also arrested two men and a woman, all of legal age, who were with the primary target in the suspected drug den at the time of the operation.
“This high impact operation was a product of a month-long casing and surveillance,” the agency said.
Article continues after this advertisementPDEA agents allegedly seized 13 plastic sachets containing some 35 grams of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia. They also recovered the marked money used in the buy-bust operation.
The agency said charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the apprehended suspects.
