BI: Indonesian wanted for human trafficking arrested in Makati
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said that it has arrested an Indonesian national wanted by authorities in his home country.
According to the BI on Friday, Aris Wahyudi, 43 years old, was arrested in Makati City on Tuesday.

The BI said that Indonesian authorities released a warrant for Wahyudi’s arrest for his alleged involvement in human trafficking.
“As a foreigner accused of human trafficking, his presence here poses a serious risk to our poor countrymen who might also fall prey to his illegal scheme,” BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said.

Article continues after this advertisementThe agency added that Wahyudi is also currently an undesirable and undocumented alien as his passport expired in 2023.
Currently, Wahyudi is detained in the BI’s facility in Taguig and is set to be deported.
