DPWH announces road closures in cities of Cebu, Bacolod

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has announced temporary road and bridge closures in Cebu and Bacolod City.

In a Facebook post on Friday, the agency said that there would be a temporary road closure in the bike lane and a portion of the service road along Cebu South Coastal Road and from F. Vestil to El Pardo in Cebu City.

This will happen on February 25 at 3:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. to make way for the Cebu Duathlon Race.

Meanwhile, the left side of Mansilingan Bridge (near Bangga Pari), Barangay Mansilingan in Bacolod City will also be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic on February 28 at 9 a.m. due to the concrete pouring of the bridge slab.

“Motorists may experience sudden traffic buildup and are advised to take extra precaution,” the DPWH said.
