Missing man found stabbed to death in Batangas

LUCENA CITY — A man who went missing was found dead Friday from stab wounds in San Juan town in Batangas province.
The Region 4A police said in a report on Saturday, Feb. 24, that the body of one “Arcel,” a resident of San Juan, was found at 12:10 p.m. by his brother on the grassy portion of a riprap of the river in Barangay Tipaz.
The report said the victim’s body bore fatal stab wounds on his back. Recovered at the site were a kitchen knife and an ice-pick.

Arcel was declared missing by his family when he failed to return home after he left their house around 3 a.m., on Friday, with an unidentified companion. The report did not provide information on the victim’s companion.
The police are conducting further investigation.
