MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday canceled his appearance at the Philippine International Dive Expo due to an urgent matter.

Following his attendance at the 50th Anniversary of the Design Center of the Philippines, Marcos was supposed to head to the World Trade Center.

However, the president suddenly had to cancel his attendance at the event.

“Something urgent came up,” said Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil in a message to reporters.

However, the Palace did not specify what the urgent matters were.
