/ 07:01 AM June 29, 2011

TO GIVE way to a pair of out-of-the-country games, the 36th PBA Governors’ Cup will temporarily do away from its regular schedule.

There will be no game today as the league gears up for two exciting games in Dubai, UAE.

The Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters will play the Derby Ace Llamados on June 30. Then on the next day, the Texters will again see action against the Barangay Ginebra Kings.

The grand slam-seeking Texters will go into those matches looking to keep their unbeaten record intact and fortify their bid of advancing to the semifinal round.

Talk ‘N Text currently leads the standings with an unblemished 3-0 (win-loss) card. The Kings are at third place with two wins and one loss, trailing second placers Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, who are 3-1.

The Llamados are in a four-way tie at fourth place, crowding the spot with the Alaska Aces, Meralco Bolts and Petron Blaze Boosters with identical 2-2 records.

The Llamados will be parading new import Darnell Hinson, a 6-foot-2 cager who is fresh from a stint in Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), a pro-league in Puerto Rico.

Hinson replaced 5-foot-10 Stefon Hannah, whose best game in the league turned out to be his last.

Hannah scored 23 points in the Llamados’ 104-92 win over the Bolts last Sunday.

Hinson, 31, had a solid showing with Polonia Azbud, where he averaged 16.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.7 steals. /EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
