Kennon Road partially closed starting Feb. 19 for repairs

MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Baguio on Monday announced that Kennon Road will be partially closed to traffic starting February 19 for repairs.

In an advisory on Monday, the city government said the repairs will be carried out along Camp 6, Tuba, and Benguet of Kennon Road.

Amid the closure, window hours will be implemented by the city.

 “Heeding the request of Mayor Magalong, window hours will be implemented during the temporary closure of Kennon Road effective February 19, 2024,” the advisory read.

 

Window hours for non-residents:

“The temporary diversion road along the Bued River must be taken upon reaching the project site at Camp 6,” the city said.

“On days when Kennon Road is not passable, please pass through: Marcos Highway Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascual-La Union Boundary Road,” it added.

Meanwhile, residents along Kennon Road and emergency travelers will be allowed to pass both lanes, but are still required to use the temporary diversion road along Bued River upon reaching the project site at Camp 6.
