LUCENA CITY – Two suspected illegal drug traders were arrested on Saturday (February 17) in separate operations in Tiaong, Quezon.

These actions yielded in the seizure of over P164,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and two illegal firearms.

In a report on Sunday (February 18), Quezon police said anti-illegal drug operatives nabbed a person identified as ‘Ramil.’

He had allegedly sold shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Bulakin around 7:30 p.m.

Authorities confiscated five plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated street value of more than P92,000.

Police also found the suspect to be carrying an undocumented caliber .45 pistol loaded with seven bullets.

Operatives also took custody of a Honda Civic sedan believed to have been used by the suspect in his illegal drug trade.

An alias ‘Romeo’ was also arrested after the law enforcers, armed with a search warrant, went to his house in Barangay Tagbakin early Saturday morning.

Police found nine sachets of shabu worth over P71,000, a digital weighing scale and an unlicensed caliber .38 gun with five bullets.

The suspects will face criminal complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of firearms.
