MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather will prevail in Metro Manila and most parts of Luzon, while chances of isolated rain showers are expected over the rest of the country on Sunday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In a morning forecast, the state weather service reported that easterlies will mainly affect the eastern part of the Philippines, but localized thunderstorms are expected to persist in most parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

“Magiging bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan o generally fair weather condition ang ating mararanasan dito sa Metro Manila maging sa nalalabing bahagi pa ng Luzon,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

“Sa bahagi naman ng Visayas at Mindanao ay generally fair weather condition din ang ating mararanasan ngunit meron pa rin tayong posibilidad ng mga isolated na pagulan pagkidlat at pagkulog dulot ng localized thunderstorms,” she further reported.

(Conversely, parts of Visayas and Mindanao will experience generally fair weather with chances of isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.)

Castañeda added that generally fair weather will be experienced in the country’s key cities in the next three days.

According to her, Pagasa did not monitor any weather disturbance that may affect the country in the next 24 hours.

She likewise reported that no gale warning has been raised on seaboard nationwide.

  • Metro Manila: 24 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Baguio City: 15 to 24 degrees Celsius
  • Laoag City: 21 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Tuguegarao: 22 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Legazpi City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Tagaytay: 22 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Kalayaan Islands: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Iloilo City: 26 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Cebu: 26 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Tacloban City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Cagayan De Oro City: 25 to 30 degrees Celsius
