2 ‘members’ of Concepcion gang nabbed in Camarines Norte

LIGAO CITY — Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested on Thursday two alleged members of the Concepcion criminal group in separate operations in Camarines Norte and Cavite provinces.

Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Marribay, CIDG Albay provincial field unit chief, identified the suspects as Joefry Mari and his wife, Vilma, both tagged as the most wanted persons in the Bicol region.

“They were involved in the kidnapping and killing of businessmen Gilbert Quinzon and Glen Quinzon of Daraga, Albay, who were held captive by the Concepcion Criminal Gang in June 2022 at Barangay Buga in Libon town,” Marribay told the Inquirer in a phone interview.

He said Joefry was on his way to a mining site in Barangay Dagang, Paracale, Camarines Norte, when authorities served the arrest warrant, His wife was nabbed at her relative’s residence in Imus, Cavite. INQ
