MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out in a residential area in Santa Cruz, Manila on Wednesday morning, engulfing several houses made of light materials.
According to the volunteer group, Txtfire Philippines, the fire erupted at around 11 a.m at the corner of Alonzo Fugoso streets.

The fire was raised to the third alarm at 11:30 a.m., the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
A total of 12 fire trucks arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze, the BFP reported.
The fire was eventually declared under control at 12:04 p.m., it added.
As of posting time, firefighters are yet to extinguish the fire.
The bureau has yet to determine if any resident was injured due to the incident.
