MANILA, Philippines — Manila Water, a leading player in the water industry, has reached a significant milestone by earning its very first “A-” score in water security from CDP, a non-profit environmental organization.

This achievement reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and its dedication to ensuring water security for the communities it serves.

With a vast experience spanning across water treatment, distribution, wastewater management, and sanitation services, the firm has been a key player in providing essential services to approximately 12 million people worldwide.

The company’s dedication to sustainability and transparency has been affirmed through its improved CDP rating of “A-“, up from “B” in 2022.

Additionally, Manila Water is part of the select 38 percent of non-energy utility companies that achieved the leadership level in CDP’s water security assessment.

CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states, and regions to manage their environmental impacts.

CDP’s rigorous disclosure and scoring process, acknowledged as the gold standard for corporate environmental transparency, scrutinizes over 21,000 companies worldwide.

Manila Water’s elevation to the Leadership Band demonstrates its exemplary practices in environmental reporting, water accounting, risk assessment, and seizing water-related opportunities.
