MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI)on Tuesday said that 88,072 foreign nationals have already submitted their annual report last month.
According to the BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, resident aliens with immigrant and non-immigrant visas, and had an alien certificate of registration (ACR) identity card are required to go to the BI for the annual report.
“We have transferred our annual reporting operations to more accessible locations and have put up an online portal for virtual reporting,” Tansingco said.
“What we are doing is facilitative—we want to make it easier for foreign nationals to comply with the law to ensure better regulation,” he added.
Foreign nationals below 14 years old, those above 60 years old, and those mentally or physically incapacitated, pregnant, or with medical conditions are otherwise exempted from the reporting requirement.
Requirements for the reporting of foreign nationals include an online registration form, their valid ACR card, their visas, and passports.
The reporting period will be until March 1, the BI added.
