LUCENA CITY, Quezon, Philippines — Anti-illegal drug operatives in Dasmariñas City, Cavite seized more than P564,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from four drug traffickers in buy-bust operations on Monday, Feb. 12.

The Calabarzon Police Regional Office (PRO 4A)  said in a report Tuesday that certain “Jene” was held at 4:30 p.m. after he sold P3,500 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Sampaloc IV.

Authorities confiscated from Jene two plastic sachets containing meth weighing 53 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P360,400.

In another drug bust operation in Barangay Sabang around 9 p.m. law enforcers arrested “Eduardo,” “Jerry,” and “Geronimo.”

The three were found in possession of four sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams worth P204,000.

The operatives also seized a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.

Authorities are investigating the source of the drugs.

The report tagged Jene,  Eduardo, and Jerry as high-value targets in the government’s drug war, while Geronimo was a street-level pusher in the locality.

They are detained and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
