DENR QC office hit by bomb scare

A bomb threat disrupted work on Monday at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) main office in Quezon City.

The Quezon City Police District and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the threat was in an email sent to DENR’s Environmental Management Bureau by “a certain Japanese national” identified as Takahiro Karasawa.

A DENR statement said the department received information about the bomb threat at 10 a.m., prompting the Quezon City police and its Explosives Ordnance Division (EOD) teams to search the premises.

After finding no bomb, BFP declared an all-clear at 12:15 p.m. —RUSSEL LORETO
