The Police Region 4A in a spot report said the motorcycles driven by Jonel Gardoña, 33, and Esmeraldo Nadong, 58, both coming from the opposite direction accidentally collided head-on along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay (village) Santa Anastacia around 4:15 a.m.
They were taken to Laurel District Hospital in the locality but they died along the way from grave injuries.

Santo Tomas police said both riders were wearing crash helmets when the incident happened.
Investigators were still looking for closed-circuit television cameras at the accident site to determine who was at fault in the collision.
