MANILA, Philippines- An American national and her Filipino driver who were allegedly kidnapped in Makati City Tuesday morning were released by their captors after payment of ransom money, a Radyo Inquirer report said early Wednesday morning.

The American woman, Aiko Moore, 27, suffered fractured right hand after she and her driver were seized at gunpoint and shoved to the floor of the getaway vehicle by the kidnappers.

The kidnapping took place in Amorsolo West, Makati, around 9 a.m., the report said.

After hours of negotiation, Moore’s husband paid an undetermined amount of ransom money. The gunmen released the American woman and the driver in an isolated area in San Roque village in Marikina.
