P15.1M shabu, coke seized from 2 suspects in Camarines Norte

Anti-narcotics agents arrest an alleged member of a notorious drug group and recovered P340,000 worth of “shabu” in Camarines Norte.

LEGAZPI CITY — Police arrested two alleged bigtime drug personalities and recovered more than P15.1-million worth of illegal drugs, specifically shabu (crystal meth) and cocaine, in a buy-bust operation on Friday night in Vinzons town in Camarines Norte.

Police Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon, Bicol police chief, said in a report on Saturday, Feb. 10, that Marlon Aloc and Joji Ian Canonizado were arrested at 11:20 p.m. at Maharlika Highway in Barangay  Santo Domingo.

Authorities confiscated about 2.2 kilograms of shabu worth P14.96 million and 14 grams of cocaine worth P212,000.

Dizon said the suspects, who were residents of Camarines provinces, got their supply from Chinese nationals in the National Capital Region. He did not provide more details on the suppliers.

The suspects will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
