Pagasa: Four Mindanao regions on flood watch

MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau said on Friday that four regions in Mindanao are on flood watch due to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

In its advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the following watercourses in the regions may experience flooding:

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao

Region 10 (Northern Mindanao)

Region 11 (Davao Region)

Region 12 (Soccsksargen)

“People living near the mountain slopes and in the low-lying areas of the above mentioned river systems and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils concerned advised to take necessary precautionary measures,” Pagasa added.
