LUCENA CITY, Quezon, Philippines — Ten people were rescued after their boat suffered engine trouble and was left adrift in the seas off Romblon province on Thursday, Feb. 8.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-District Southern Tagalog said in a report on Friday that the skipper of the motorized boat “Jedidiah 2” alerted the PCG station in Looc town through a phone call that their vessel with nine other passengers was adrift in the waters off Barangay Agojo at 3:40 p.m.
Accompanied by the local sea wardens, the PCG personnel rushed to the site and saved the boat passengers, who were all found in safe condition.
