Makati health caravan open to ‘Embo’ residents

/ 05:10 AM February 09, 2024

Residents in “Embo” barangays can avail themselves of free health services being offered in Makati’s Lingkod Bayan Caravan, scheduled every Saturday in selected areas. In addition, starting Feb. 12, four barangay health centers in Bangkal, Poblacion, Kasilawan and Guadalupe Nuevo will extend their operating hours from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Mondays to Fridays, to accommodate both Makati and Embo residents. Makati Mayor Abby Binay has ordered all front-line offices of the city government to accommodate Embo residents in the Lingkod Bayan caravans scheduled throughout the year. “Although these barangays are no longer under Makati’s jurisdiction, the city is still dedicated to ensuring the well-being of all residents, past and present,” she said on Thursday. The schedule and locations of the caravan can be found on the My Makati Facebook page. —RUSSEL LORETO
