“The continuing cash aid payout is part of the commitment of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian to provide all forms of assistance to families affected by the weather disturbance to enable them to resume their normal lives,” DSWD Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez said.
Lopez added that the DSWD will now start to distribute cash aid after the families have received their preliminary food aid.
Each affected family received P9,960, for a total of around P16,790,000, which was distributed on Wednesday.
The DSWD also distributed the same amount to 500 families in Braulio E. Dujali, Davao Del Norte on Tuesday, it said.
