All 23 barangays of Makati City will be getting an additional P10-million share each this year from its basic real property tax (RPT) collection in 2023 after 10 enlisted men’s barrios were transferred to Taguig City.
Mayor Abby Binay said in a statement on Sunday that the Department of Budget and Management revealed a 6.20-percent increase in the city’s final National Tax Allotment (NTA) this year, amounting to P315 million.
The NTA, which replaced the previous internal revenue allotment, is distributed among local governments based on population (50 percent), land area (25 percent) and equal sharing (25 percent),” she added.
