Husband, wife shot dead while harvesting coconuts in Quezon

In buy-bust operations in Quezon province, three suspected drug pushers yielded "shabu" (crystal meth) and firearms.

LUCENA CITY – A husband and wife were shot and killed by a still unidentified gunman while harvesting coconuts in Guinayangan town in Quezon province on Saturday, Feb, 3.

The Quezon police, in a report Sunday, Feb. 4, said a villager from Barangay (village) Dancalan Central arrived at the local police station and reported that Randy Zafranco Pedregal, 46, and his wife, Analisa, 50, were repeatedly shot by an unidentified male while harvesting coconuts on their farm.

After the shooting, the assailant fled and left his targets dead on the spot from fatal gunshot wounds on their heads and bodies.

An investigation is ongoing to establish the identity of the gunman and his possible motive in the killing.
