College student raped on her way home

AN 18-YEAR-OLD college student who was on her way home on Saturday night was waylaid by a group of men who dragged her to a vacant lot in Project 6, Quezon City, where they raped her, a police report said.

PO1 Richie Duro of the Quezon City Police District said two of the five suspects had been arrested while the rest were being pursued by operatives.

Ramil Pabia, 21; and Randy Ferrer, 22; both resident of CMLI Compound in Barangay Project 6, Quezon City, were arrested after the victim positively identified them as among her attackers.

The police said they were looking for another man named Bobby Gumaru although the two others remained unidentified.

The victim told the police that she was walking on North Avenue at around 9:50 p.m. when the five men grabbed her and brought her to a vacant lot where they raped her. Afterward, the men allowed her to leave, she said.
