MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Tuesday said that it blacklisted a Czech national for rude behavior.

According to the BI, Czech national Jaroslav Konsel, 55 years old, arrived in the country on January 23 from Hong Kong.

Upon his arrival, Konsel uttered foul language at immigration officers who were asking him to register in the eTravel online system, the agency said.

The eTravel online system is used to monitor arriving and departing passengers, and can be filled out 72 hours before arrival.

“Reports that he taunted and mocked the immigration officers who were politely explaining to him the eTravel requirement is enough ground for him to be excluded and banned from entering the country,” the BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said.

Konsel also did not accept assistance from other staff who tried to help him fill out the online system.

He also displayed aggressive behavior at the desk of the BI officer.

As such, the BI said that he was denied entry, and that the agency is processing his file in the blacklist.
