THE MAPUA Cardinals will be looking to get better as they go on a southern sojourn to take on the Southwestern University Cobras and the multi-titled M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Niños in two exhibition games starting tomorrow.
The Cardinals of head coach Chito Victorelo will be visiting the Cobra Pit of SWU over at the Aznar Coliseum tomorrow for a game set at 6 p.m. against last year’s Cesafi runner-up the Cobras of head coach Raul “Yayoy” Alcoseba.
Then, the Cardinals take a trip up north to Bogo on Thursday where they will face off against the Niños.
The Cardinals will be bannered by their big man, 6-foot-7 Yousef Taha, along with last year’s rookie sensation, Josan Nimes and old reliables, Mike Parala, Gabriel Banal, Andretti Stevens and Jonathan Banal.
The Cobras will be headed by their two-pronged attack of Basketball Without Borders Africa MVP, Ben Mbala and his compatriot, Justin Aboude./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
