Pagasa: Cloudy Sunday with light rains in most parts of PH

Public Weather Forecast issued at 4AM | January 28, 2024 - Sunday

MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies and  isolated rain showers  due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan” are expected nationwide on Sunday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

(The effects of the cool northeast monsoon or cold amihan will prevail in most parts of the country. Cloudy skies and scattered light rains are expected in the eastern section of the country.)

(Fair weather is expected in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, with possible light rains due to the amihan.)

The state weather bureau likewise reported that no tropical cyclone is expected to develop or enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three to five days.

Gale warnings have been raised over parts of the seaboards of Southern Luzon, Bicol region, the Visayas and Mindanao, where 2.8 to 4.5 meter-high waves are possible.

Operators and crew members of smaller vessels are advised against setting sail due to rough sea conditions.
