LTO workers nabbed for stealing vehicle plates
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Friday said three of its personnel were arrested after being caught stealing license plates from the agency’s plate making plant in Quezon City.
Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II, chief of the LTO, presented and identified the suspects as embossers Jenard Arida and Arjay Anasco; and warehouse staff Valeriano Nerizon, all assigned to the plate making plant at the LTO Central Office.
Mendoza said a police manhunt is already underway for Allan Joker Abrigo, another LTO employee, who could be the “team leader” of the group. Abrigo reportedly resigned a few days ago and could not be located.
