MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Thursday advised the public to take alternative walkways as the demolition of a footbridge crossing West Avenue/Paramount near a mall in North Edsa, Quezon City, is set to begin.

According to the department, the demolition work will start on Friday, January 26.

“We wish to inform the public of the termination of access to the footbridge crossing West Avenue/Paramount, as the demolition of the existing footbridge is set to begin on 26 January 2024 (Friday). As an alternative, you may use the existing MMDA pedestrian footbridge connected to the Skygarden (near Starbucks),” the DOTr said in a Facebook post.
