Sunday traffic rerouting plan set in parts of Pasig City

Pasig City MANILA, Philippines — Pasig City on Thursday announced  a traffic rerouting plan in some parts of the city due to a cycling event on Sunday, January 28.

“Please be informed that on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 02:00AM to 12:00NN, the Team Alejo de Luna will conduct a Multisports Cycling event that will affect the traffic flow on the roads in Brgy. Ugong enumerated in the material,” the Pasig local government unit (LGU) said.

To be affected are St. Paul Road, Molave St., St. Martin, Capt. Javier, and Meralco Avenue.

Meanwhile, the city also announced that trucks will not be allowed to enter F. Legaspi Bridge to Barkadahan Bridge in both directions starting January 27 for the repair of Buli Creek Outfall.

“Starting this Saturday, January 27, 2024, TRUCKS will be TEMPORARILY NOT ALLOWED to enter along East Bank Road in Brgy. Sta. Lucia, specifically from F. Legaspi Bridge to Barkadahan Bridge (both directions), to give way to the repair/rehabilitation of Buli Creek Outfall,” the city added.

According to the Department of Public Works and Highways, the project will take at least six months.

“Plan your trip ahead and take alternative routes. We apologize for the inconvenience,” the Pasig LGU said.
