MANILA, Philippines — The state weather agency on Wednesday said two regions in Luzon may experience flooding due to shear line-induced rain.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), areas in the Cagayan and Bicol Region may experience flooding from rain showers due to shear line.

The Pagasa announced that the following areas may be flooded:
Region 2 (Cagayan Valley)
- Cagayan – Rivers and its tributaries particularly Linao, Lower Abulug, Lower Pamplona, Cabicungan, Aunugay, Baua, Palawig and Taboan.
Region 5 (Bicol Region)
- Camarines Sur – Rivers and its tributaries particularly Lower Kilbay Catabangan, Ragay, Tinalmud, Tambang and Lagonoy.
- Camarines Norte – Rivers and its tributaries particularly Labo and Daet Basud.
- Albay – Rivers and its tributaries particularly Guinale and Upper Donsol.
- Sorsogon – Rivers and its tributaries particularly Lower Donsol, Ogod, Putiao, Cadacan, Banuang-Daan, Fabrica (Tugbugan) and Matnog.
The Pagasa further warned people living in high-risk areas and the respective disaster management councils of the areas above to take necessary precautions.

“People living near the mountain slopes and in the low lying areas of the above mentioned river systems and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils concerned are still advised to take necessary precautionary measures,” it added in its advisory.
