Farmer kills brod after drinking bout

ISABELA–A 59-year-old farmer on Saturday stabbed dead his younger brother after a drinking spree in Burgos town, police said.

Apolonio Romero, 39, was sleeping when his brother, Benito Romero, stabbed him in the chest, said Senior Insp. Gualberto Baquiran, municipal police chief.

The two were seen drinking earlier in Benito’s house, police said.

Apolonio died before reaching Manuel Roxas District Hospital. Benito was arrested. Villamor Visaya Jr., Inquirer Northern Luzon
