Wanted: Good Samaritans to help sick girl

Juvy Barnobal, a single parent from Floodway in Cainta, Rizal, is asking for help in behalf of her daughter, 8-year-old Cameron Audrey Verano.

Cameron is currently confined at Philippine Children’s Medical Center in Quezon City. She has been diagnosed to be suffering from Miller Fisher syndrome, a rare and acquired nerve disease that is considered a variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome.

It is characterized by abnormal muscle coordination, paralysis of the eye muscles and absence of tendon reflexes.

Symptoms are preceded by a viral illness, generalized muscle weakness and respiratory failure.
