Two suspected car thieves were killed in an encounter with policemen shortly after midnight Monday in Quezon City.
The shoot-out took place after the two failed to stop when authorities flagged down their car for sporting fake license plates. The vehicle did not have a Land Transportation Office sticker either.
Case investigator PO3 Jogene Hernandez said the two men had yet to be identified although one of them was described as between 30 and 35 years old and 5’7” in height. There were also tattoos on his back which read “Goy, Coy and Toyo.”
The other was between 25 and 30 years old, 5’4” in height and dressed in a white shirt and jeans.
Both were in a red 1998 Nissan Sentra when they shot it out with patrolling members of the Quezon City Police District’s anticar theft unit at around 1 a.m. on Mindanao Avenue. Julie M. Aurelio
