ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized some 25 kilos of alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P30 million during an anti-illegal drugs operation Monday in nearby Mexico town.

Mexico Police Chief Lieutenant Colonel Joy Gollayan said the operation was led by the PDEA Special Enforcement Service from Manila.

In a local television interview, Gollayan said the local police had limited information about the operation, as they were invited only to witness the inventory and markings of seized illegal substances.

She said 25 teabags, each containing a kilo of suspected shabu, found inside an abandoned car were marked by PDEA agents.
