LUCENA CITY – Police seized an estimated P590,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from four drug suspects who were arrested in Cabuyao City, Laguna on Saturday and Sunday.
The Police Regional Office 4-A, in a report on Sunday, said three drug suspects, identified only as alias “April”, “Elmer”, and “Edward” were collared after they sold a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Sala around 6:22 a.m.
Seized from the suspects were 57 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P387,600.
Police tagged the arrested suspects as “high-value individuals” in the illegal drugs trade.
In another operation, police officers also collared “Jennie”, an identified street-level pusher, in another buy-bust operation in the same village around 1:47 a.m. Sunday.
The operatives confiscated from the suspect 30 grams of shabu worth about P204,000.
In the two operations, the police confiscated two motorcycles believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.
All suspects were detained at the city police jail and are facing a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
