MANILA, Philippines — Some parts of Rizal, Bulacan, Laguna, and Quezon City would experience temporary power interruptions from January 21-24, the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said Saturday.

In an advisory posted on its website, Meralco said the scheduled brownouts are due to maintenance works that will be carried out in the affected areas.

Maintenance works that would result in electricity supply pause will take place on the following:

January 21

Rizal Province (Cainta and Taytay) – between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.; and 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Reason: Relocation of poles and line reconductoring works along Ejercito Ave. in Bgy. San Juan, Taytay

January 22

Bulacan (Malolos City) – between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Reason: Line reconstruction works in Bgys. Bangkal, Mambog and Taal in Malolos City

January 23

Laguna (Sta. Rosa City) – between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Reason: Line maintenance works in Villa Caceres Subd., City Proper, Sta. Rosa City

Quezon City (Balintawak and Balong Bato) – between 11 p.m.,January 23 and 4 a.m., January 24

Reason: Line maintenance works along Epifanio delos Santos Ave. (EDSA) Northbound in Bgys. Apolonio Samson and Unang Sigaw in Balintawak.
