Pantabangan Vice Mayor faces rape raps
MANILA, Philippines—A complaint for rape has been filed Monday before the Department of Justice against Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija Vice Mayor Romeo Borja Jr..
Based on the complaint, the 18-year old victim alleged that Borja raped her from June to September 2011, when she was only 17.
The victim first met Borja in April 2010 at a beauty pageant in Pantabangan where she won. Borja handed her the trophy. After that, she said the respondent started sending her text messages.
Then, in July 2011, Jasmin went to a friend’s house where they had a few drinks. She passed out and allegedly woke up in a room with Borja. She said the respondent threatened her that he will publish on the social networking site Facebook their photo if she will not follow what he wants.
The victim is now eight months pregnant.
She was accompanied by Gabriela Women’s Partylist Representatives Luz Ilagan and Emmi de Jesus and another victim, Borja’s former househelp who already filed a qualified seduction case in Cabanatuan City.
