MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. was not misinformed of the situation on the implementation of the public utility vehicle modernization program, Office of Transportation Cooperatives (OTC) Chairman Jesus Ortega said on Monday.

In a Palace briefing, Ortega was asked about rumors that Marcos was not told of the consequences of the implementation.

According to Ortega, Marcos was also firm that help should be extended to those adversely affected by the program.

“Noong umupo kami sa harap ng Pangulo, kitang-kita po namin sa kanyang demeanor, sa kaniyang mata, the confidence tungkol sa programa. He knows the numbers. He knows about the program. And he was very confident in saying, ‘hindi na tayo mag-i-extend’,” said Ortega.
