Isabela town mayor’s home strafed
MANILA, Philippines—Authorities are on the hunt for the unidentified suspects who peppered the home of Mallig town Mayor Pedro Flores before dawn on Tuesday in Isabela.
Citing a report from Region 2 police director Chief Superintendent Francisco Villaroman, Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said that Flores’ house in Mallig, Isabela was strafed by armed men at around 2:30 a.m.
No one was hurt in the incident, he said, adding that police were now conducting a dragnet operation in nearby towns in the hopes of identifying and catching the suspects. With a report from Frances Mangosing
