MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Clark ion Wednesday said it intercepted an estimated P7.507 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu last January 3.
According to the BOC, the shipment was declared as a “shaft drive model” which was bound for New Zealand.
The BOC also said that the shipment which came from Parañaque City was declared suspicious by X-Ray inspection personnel.
After it was subjected to K9 and physical examination, three packs of shabu, weighing 1,104 grams were discovered inside a shaft drive.
BOC District Collector Erastus Sandino Austria issued a warrant of seizure and detention against the shipment for violation of anti-illegal drug laws and customs laws.
The BOC also said that it will be vigilant against attempts to smuggle illegal drugs into the country.
